Trinity — Support
Trinity is a messaging app for the Matrix protocol. It connects to a Matrix homeserver of your choosing and keeps your conversations there.

Two things make almost every report easier to answer, and you can find both in the app:
- The version number, at the bottom of Settings.
- The extensions log, also in Settings. It records what the app's background parts did — notifications, calls — and is often the only way to tell where something stopped. It contains no message text.
Common questions
The app cannot connect. Trinity reaches your homeserver directly, so the device needs to be on a network that can see it. If the server is on a private network, that usually means a VPN.
Notifications do not arrive. Matrix push needs a push gateway running alongside the homeserver. If the server you use has none, no notification will be delivered — everything else keeps working. Also check that notifications were allowed the first time the app asked: iOS only asks once.
Which server should I use? Trinity does not provide one. Whoever invited you gives you the address and your credentials, in the same way a mail account comes with a mail server.
